Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1993), a master's degree in Plant Science (Plant Production) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1995) and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Botany) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003). He is currently editor of Botany Structural Botanica Brasilica and Adjunct Professor of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He is a member of the faculty of the Postgraduate Course in Plant Biology (UFMG) and concentrates his research in the area of ​​Structural Botany, with emphasis on Plant Anatomy. It acts mainly in the following subjects: secretory structures, ultrastructure and secretion in plant cells, insect-plant interaction and morphophysiological aspects of plants.
