Eduardo de Matos Nogueira holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1998), a Master's Degree in Biological Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2001) and a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). From 2007 to 2009 he was a professor at the State University Center of the West Zone. Since 2009 he is an effective professor at UNIRIO. Currently Associate Professor I and collaborating professor of the Post-Graduate Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology of UNIRIO. It works with genomics, metagenomics and transcriptome. The main interests are: (i) interaction between plant, environment and microorganism; (ii) use of microsatellites to study biodiversity; and (iii) role of non-coding RNAs in organisms.
