Biography

Ed Crawford enters his sixth season as head coach of the Jimmie men's track & field and cross country programs. Before Jamestown College, Crawford spent 12 years at Division I New Mexico State. He coached 46 conference champions and led the women's track team to the Sun Belt Conference championship in 2002 and 2004. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's outdoor track & field coach of the year in 2002 and 2004. In 2002, he was also named the NCAA DI Mountain Region Women's Outdoor Track & Field coach of the year. At Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Crawford coached five Division II national championship teams (three in women's cross country and two in women's track). He has also coached at Cal Poly Pomona, Ohio State and University of California-Irvine. Crawford earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at Cal Poly Pomona, and he did graduate work in Biomechanics at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is a native of Diamond Bar, California.
