Dunya Lafta is a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kufa. She has a first degree in pharmacy in 2005 and Demonstrate at the University Kufa 2005, lecturer 2006, Assist. Teacher 2011. She got an MSc in synthetic medicinal chemistry from Baghdad University in 2010. She has accepted for Ph.D. as four-year study program in the school of Pharmacy, Baghdad University). In 2011 she started the oncology drug research her research team focused on the first-in-class sequence-selective DNA-interactive agent and G-quadruplex DNA targeting under the supervision of Dr. Kawkab Y. Saour at Baghdad University. In 2013, Dunya wins a scholarship to conduct research work, which focuses on the discovery of novel small-molecule transcription factor inhibitors in the oncology area under the supervision of professor Dr. Kawkab Y. Sour in cooperation with Professor David Thurston. To date, Dunya is an author of over has more than 8 publications in medicinal chemistry/chemistry journals and books. She still regularly practices community pharmacy, and is accredited to provide a number of advanced services including Medicine Use Reviews (MURs). Dunya is reviewer for some world journals with Thompson Reuter impact factor like Medicinal Chemistry Resaerch, Springer IF: 1.8, Central Chemistry Journal, Springer IF: 2.4 She is a member of International Pharmaceutical Federation FIP with membership card number: 34022. She is member of Charity and human right organization as Human Rights Organization, Texas City USA and We do help organization, Baghdad, Iraq.
