Professor Neurology
Biography

I received a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. My postdoctoral training was in the department of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School with Dr. John Maunsell. I joined the Center for Neuroscience in June 2011. My lab studies the mechanisms of attention, i.e., our ability to focus on behaviorally interesting and relevant stimuli while ignoring others.

Research Intrest

Attentional mechanisms. In particular, I am interested in particular brain rhythms thought to be associated with higher order cognitive functions such as attention.
