Dr Ranjan Saha Partha is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his BSS and MSS in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University and his MA and PhD in Cultural Anthropology at Hiroshima University, Japan. Ranjan Saha's doctoral research examined practice and discourse of Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord 1997 of Bangladesh. He has published numerous articles and book chapters, both at home and abroad. Dr. Ranjan's areas of specialization include anthropology of peace and human rights, colonialism, public policy and governance, qualitative research methodology, social inequality, poverty and development, agriculture and peasant society. After completing PhD at the Hiroshima University, he has recently returned to Jahangirnagar University.
