Deputy Dean of the Faculty
Department of Chemical Engineering

Rafael Camarillo has dedicated the entirety of his scientific career to the field of Engineering And Environmental Technology, specifically to the treatment of wastewater and Waste disposal. After graduation as number 1 of the III Promotion of Chemical Engineering of the UCLM (1995-2000), he was incorporated as an FPU Department of Chemical Engineering of this same university in Ciudad Real. There Carried out his doctoral thesis on the elimination of heavy metals in effluents Industrial processes through advanced membrane processes, under the direction of Professors Pablo Cañizares and Ángel Pérez. In 2005, and as an Assistant Professor, Moved to the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry of Toledo. There he joined two Lines of research related to high-pressure fluids already Professor Jesusa Rincón (regeneration of waste oils and used catalysts), But also contributed its experience to introduce three new lines related to the Water treatment (recovery of milk proteins by ultrafiltration, Removal of phosphorus and nitrogen by micelle-enhanced ultrafiltration, And anaerobic digestion of effluents from agro-food industries, such as Mills and wineries). There he has been going through the figures of Doctor Assistant Professor (2007) and Professor Contractor Doctor (2008).
- Treatment of industrial effluents by ultrafiltration - Treatment of industrial effluents by anaerobic digestion - Recovery of residual oils by supercritical extraction and other technologies Of low environmental impact - Regeneration of catalysts used in the selective catalytic reduction of oxides of Nitrogen by high-pressure extraction
