Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Department of Mechanical Engineering
American University in Dubai
United Arab Emirates
Dr. Nizar Harb joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AUD in Fall 2015. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanics in 2013 from the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard. His thesis works led to developing novel numerical tools in the context of inverse identification of biomechanical parameters in anisotropic hyperelasticity. His main field of research is non-linear solid mechanics, biomechanics, metaheuristic optimization and numerical modeling. Prior to joining AUD, Dr. Harb taught at two other universities in France.
