Prof. Dr. Nikola Kolev, Ph.D. graduated in Medicine in 1998. at the Medical University-Varna. He obtained his specialty in "Surgery" in 2003. He defended a dissertation on "Clinical Importance of Intraoperative Marking of Sentinel Lymph Nodes in Colorectal Cancer". In 2012. defends dissertation on "Rectum cancer - modern surgical behavior" and has been elected Professor at the Department of General and Operative Surgery. From 2012 Prof. Nikola Kolev is Head of Department of General and Operative Surgery. The youngest associate professor and professor in the field of surgery in Bulgaria. She speaks excellent English and Russian. Prof. Dr. Nikola Kolev focuses on cancer surgery of colon and colon, liver, bile ducts, pancreas and others. After specializing in leading world centers, he has perfected his skills in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery as well as endoscopic procedures.
