Biography

Dr. Mulhim Al Doori's research interests are in the area of software development and artificial intelligence, in particular object-oriented intelligent environments, expert systems, reliability data analysis and operational research applications. Dr. Al-Doori has been on the faculty at AUD since 2000, and has over fifteen years of academic experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As a faculty member at Bell College, the University of Edinburgh, Al-Albayt University, and the American University in Dubai, he taught courses in artificial intelligence, programming and application development, and database management systems. He has supervised 12 masters theses and has been on the examining panels of many other graduate students. Dr. Mulhim Al Doori has extensive industrial experience in design, development and administration of database management systems as a Senior Systems Analyst for British companies and organizations such as Axion Business Computers, Biwater ltd, Leicester Royal Infirmary Hospital, and Birmingham Royal Infirmary Hospital. He has also worked on numerous consultancy projects with internationally-recognized companies such as Oracle and Microsoft. He published more than 25 refereed papers at international conferences and journals, and is active as a participant and organizer at numerous regional and international seminars, forums and workshops. Dr. Al Doori is a professional member of the British Computer Society and a member of its Gulf Region Representatives Council, a member of the British APL Association and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
