Biography

Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Aman was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He has received his B. Engg. (Bachelors) in Electrical Engineering and M. Engg. (Masters) from NED University, Pakistan in year 2006 and 2011. He has completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from University of Malaya in 2014, under the Bright Spark Scholarship Programme (BSP) of University Malaya. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department of NED University, Pakistan from Feb 2015. He joined NED University as a Lecturer in May 2007. During 2009-2010, he has established (installation, testing and commissioning) Electrical Power System Laboratory in NED University, Pakistan. The lab is very well equipped with latest power system modules and power system software. In University of Malaya, he has also worked as a lab demonstrator during his PhD. He has more than 30 different publications in various international journals and conferences. He is also a member of IEEE society and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Aman research interest in Load Flow Analysis for transmission and distribution system, Power system protection including relay modeling for their performance enhancement, Voltage stability analysis of distribution system, Optimum Distributed Generator (DG) placement, Developing new optimization techniques, Reactive power management in restructured power system, Estimation of renewable energy potential and Energy conservation through lighting audit
