Biography

Dr. Irfan Khan graduated in 2003as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. In 2006, he earned his M.Phil in the field of Theriogenology from UVAS. Dr. Irfan Khan worked as Veterinary Officer in Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab in District Muzaffargarh for short time (January-April 2006) before joining the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore in May 2006. He earned his PhD from University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2014 under the Faculty Development Program of the HEC approved project: Establishment of Poultry and Dairy Animals Training and Research Centers, Pattoki, Kasur at UVAS. Dr. Irfan has teaching expertise is in the area of reproductive science with speciality in ovarian physiology. Since 2006, he is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Department of Theriogenology. During 2008 to 2013, he worked as research and teaching assistant at Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Canada and assisted faculty in teaching reproductive anatomy labs, delivered lectures on male reproductive anatomy and conducted biomedical rounds. As a lecturer and Assistant Professor (Tenure Track System), Dr. Irfan has experience of performing obstetrics and gaeynolcolgical procedure in small and large ruminants and an expert in the in the field of veterinary ultrasonography. He has delivered lectures at national and international ultrasound training workshops. Dr. Irfan Khan has several publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and has participated in different international scientific meetings.
