Dr. Khaled Ali joined AUD in Fall 2016 as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining AUD, he was a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he worked on enhancing vehicle localization in GNSS-denied environment. He conducted channel sounding vehicular field measurements to characterize the vehicular channel and implemented algorithms to localize a single vehicle in presence of a single road side unit. Before that, his research was on characterization and mitigation of interference between digital subscriber line and power line communication networks. He conducted the first ever field measurement campaign to characterize the in-home differential and common mode interference channels, and established interference mitigation solutions that promotes coexistence between in-home networks. Currently, Dr. Ali’s research focus include physical layer communications, interference cancellation, and channel measurements.
