Biography

Dr. Ababneh worked as a financial analyst in the USA and as a recruitment consultant in Canada. Dr. Ababneh also taught in Canada at the University of Guelph and McMaster University. Over the last six years, Dr. Ababneh taught a number of courses, including Human Resources Management, Strategic Human Resources Planning, Recruitment and Selection, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Group Dynamics, Managing Change and Innovation, Principles of Management, Business Ethics, and Introduction to Business. Dr. Ababneh’s primary research interests lie in the areas of job applicant perceptions and reactions, employee turnover, self-initiated expatriates, the influence of human resources functions (e.g., recruitment, selection, training, compensation) on organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Professor Ababneh has published in academic journals and presented research papers at a number of international conferences including: Administrative Sciences Association of Canada Annual Conference, Academy of Management Annual Conference, Eurasia Business and Economics Society Conference, and Canadian Industrial Relations Association Annual Conference. He also has served as a reviewer for a number of journals and conferences.
