Katrin Hahn studied “Economics and Social Sciences” at TU Dortmund University, Germany. After her graduation she worked as research assistant at the Chair of Economic and Industrial Sociology at TU Dortmund University. Her main research interest is in the field of industrial innovation, especially in low-tech sectors. In 2012 she finished her PhD about the challenges of establishing alignment and commitment in industrial innovation projects between heterogeneous actors. In recent years her research has dealt with the effect of financialization on technological innovations in companies which is the main topic of the collaborative FINN-Project “Financial markets and company innovation strategies”. Currently, Katrin works for the European Project “Industrial Innovation in Transition” describing and analyzing changing innovation practices and concepts in European industries.
