Dr. Julie Masterson Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is Provost Fellow for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Missouri State University. She is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and served as Vice President for Research and Technology for ASHA. Dr. Masterson has presented and published extensively in the areas of language and literacy and is co-author of SPELL and SPELL-Links to Reading & Writing. She has been Associate Editor for the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Guest Associate Editor for Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools, Topics in Language Disorders, and Seminars in Speech and Language. Her current research focuses on optimal methods for assessment and documentation of treatment effects, spelling skills in individuals with sensory impairments, and the relationship between phonological productions and literacy skills.
