Biography

Dr. Jalees Ahmed is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Livestock Production, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He holds B.Sc. (Hons.) Animal Husbandry, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, M.Sc. (Hons.) in Livestock Management (UAF) and Ph.D. degree in Livestock Management (UAF). PhD studies were on “Evaluation of saltbush (Atriplexamnicola) as a dietary forage for Nili-Ravi buffalo heifers and Kajli lambs” He was appointed as lecturer in the Department of Livestock Management, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in December, 1987. He was promoted to the post of Assistant Professor during 2003 and Associate Professor in 2010. He remained associated with teaching and research in area of Livestock Production during his career. He taught course related to forage production, conservation and utilization, Dairy Production, Designing and layout of Livestock Housing facilities, Feeding Management, Beef Production, Recent Advances in Livestock Production, Meat production and quality evaluation, farm animal welfare, etc. Twelve students earned their MPhil degree under his supervision.
