Biography

Professor Hans Bakker is a PhD in Solid State Physics (VU Amsterdam, 1985). Joined Shell Research as a research physicist. Developed towards general management roles by further assignments in the business, roles in engineering and in operations. Final role was Vice-President Contracting and Procurement for Projects. Involved in improving project management performance/success since 2002, first in Shell and now full-time at TUD. In his free time he is a model railroad builder and loves to ski.
