Dr. Solh has been working in the field of education for the past 18 years. Prior to getting his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Mathematics Education) from Louisiana State University, Dr. Solh spent a decade teaching, counseling, and working on accreditation reports at the K-12 level in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to teaching, Dr. Solh is passionate about academic research, particularly the link between theory and practice. He has published a book, a journal article, and several refereed conference proceedings. He has presented his work at various national and international conferences, including the International Congress of Mathematics Education (Seoul, 2012), the UAE Math Day (Al Ain, 2013), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Meeting (New Orleans, 2014). His work focuses on the effective use of technology in mathematics education to enhance students’ conceptual understanding. He enjoys a good book, a competitive basketball game, and Cajun cuisine
