Biography

Graduate of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, the title of professor of biological sciences obtained at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw. He is an employee of the Department of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry, which he headed for 2000-2006. Between 2002 and 2008 he served as dean of science at the Department of Animal Breeding and Biology, in 2003 he was the curator of the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2002 he has been a member of Senate of Poznań University of Life Sciences and since 2005 chairman of the Senate Committee on Budget and Finance. In the years 1999-2005 he was a member of the Local Ethical Committee for Experiences on Animals in Poznan and in 2005-2010 his chairman. Member of the Polish Physiological Society since 1979 (in the years 2005-2008 the President of the Poznan Branch). Since 2002 member of the Polish Society of Neuroendocrinology and the Committee on Experimental Medicine of the Poznań Society of Friends of Science. Since 2007 member of the Committee of Animal Reproduction Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Scientific Council of the Institute of Animal Physiology and Nutrition of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the years 2002-2005 member of the P06K (Veterinary) section of the Scientific Research Council / Scientific Council and from 2005 to 2006 member of the N301 panel (molecular and cellular biology) of the Science Council.
