Biography

Dr Giuliano Allegri holds a Laurea Magistralis in Aeronautical Engineering and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Prior to his appointment at Imperial College London, Dr Allegri lectured aircraft design at Cranfield University and aerospace structures at the University of Bristol.

Research Intrest

1) fracture and fatigue of composite materials, with particular emphasis on through thickness reinforcement, environmental effects and uncertainty; 2) small-scale effects on the mechanical response of nanomaterials; 3) aeroservoelastic design of innovative aircraft configurations.
