Biography

Dr. Ghaleb Ibrahim joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AUD in Spring 2015. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1991 from the King’s College-University of London. His thesis was an Investigation into Liquid Film Absorber for Refrigeration Systems using LithBr-Water solution. During that time, he worked as Postdoc at King’s College on a project for the EATechnology/U.K. The project was to investigate the effect of floating condensing temperature and system instability. Prior to joining AUD, he taught at three other universities in the region. His main research interests are in the areas of refrigeration and air conditioning, heat & mass transfer, surface wettability, solar energy and solar stills.
