Biography

 Originally from Yorba Linda, CA, Dr. Osgard began practicing at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, as a staff gastroenterologist and eventually served as the Chief of the Gastroenterology Division. His academic interests in clinical research and teaching led him back to Walter Reed in 2004 up until June 2007. After serving and practicing Gastroenterology in the military for many years, Dr. Osgard moved to Reno to join Gastroenterology Consultants. in August 2007. Dr. Osgard enjoys all areas of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His special interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disease especially Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Barrett’s esophagus. In addition, performing Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding and Capsule Endoscopy are procedural areas of interest

Research Intrest

Hepatology. His special interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disease especially Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Barrett’s esophagus. In addition, performing Endoscopy (EGD), Colonoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding and Capsule Endoscopy are procedural areas of interest.
