Dr. Disna Sajeewani joined AUD in Fall 2015 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. Immediately after completing her PhD, she joined the University of Wollongong Australia as an Adjunct lecturer of Business and a Tutor of Economics and Management where her teaching activities spanned over multiple economics and business disciplines. She has also served in public sector as an Agricultural Economist where she has contributed in socio-economic research, policy planning and development of the agriculture sector in Sri Lanka. Disna’s research primarily focuses on Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Modelling of Carbon tax and Emissions Trading schemes and trade policy modelling. She has published her research papers in many internationally recognized journals. Her secondary research interests are in Time series econometric modelling, cost benefit analysis and input-output analysis.
