saba GYURICZA Ph.D, D.Sc., Professor at University of Kaposvar, Professor at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Director of the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre He received his degree in 1996 at GödöllÅ‘ University of Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. He has been an associate professor since 2004 and he was the director of the Crop Production and Biomass Utilization Exhibition Center between 2005 and 2012. He was the director of the Crop Production Institute at Szent István University in 2012 and the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. His main research topics are tillage systems, green manuring, and the development of technology nutrient-retaining plants. He had a huge role at the reduction of the environmental effects during the red sludge catastrophe, he eliminated the damage with energy plantations. Currently, he is the director of the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre.
His main field of research is the study of the impact of soil cultivation systems on the physical and biological condition of soils in arable and small plot experiments, the development of green fertilization and nutrient plants, under varying climate conditions. Since 2003 , he has been researching the potential for deployment of less-favored crops with energy crops - with practitioners developing practical technologies for cultivating woody energy crops. During his research, he was awarded a scholarship at a number of European and American institutes. He spent several months in Germany , Sweden , Austria, USA . In 2004 he worked as a national expert in the Joint Research Center of the European Union in Italy . Up to now, he has participated in about 20 research projects, mostly as a lead supervisor. He has been a member of the Magyar TÅ‘művészek Társasága, since 2001 he is also a member of the Secretariat [1] . Co-Chairman of the EISZ Agricultural Committee. Editor-in-Chief of the Hungarian Agricultural Research journal, as well as an editorial board of four other domestic and foreign journals. He regularly participates in his local and international events.
