Biography

When I was an online doctorate degree student, the teachers who stand out in my memory have some approaches in common: they presented their courses in a way that caught my interest and put knowledge into practical context so that its relevance was apparent. They have inspired me and influenced my style to teaching: I view myself mainly as a facilitator of learning. I am always conscious of the student’s different learning styles and background. My aspirations as a teacher are ensuring a high degree of interactivity and participation, encouraging critical thinking, and recognizing the brilliance in every student. I joined Trident because its learner-centered environment provides a sense of a learning community within which learners collaborate with each other and actively lead the discussion directions. Each student’s individual learning process depends on the participation and commitment of other students. I share this philosophy that quality teaching is accomplished through knowledge sharing and reflection
