Prof. Faour has held various positions in the graphic design and advertising industries between Lebanon, Dubai and Australia,. Working for global agencies, namely, Fortune PromoSeven (McCann) and HakuHodo (Dubai), Dina managed extensive campaigns for numerous prestigious brands. While supervising the Hakuhodo creative team, Dina discovered a passion for teaching, as she conducted regular talks and presentations to evaluate and improve the creative work process at all stages. Pursuing this calling, she joined the American University in Dubai, teaching visual communication courses. Soon after that, she was appointed academic coordinator of the Advertising major for which Dina wrote 12 intensive courses, designing a current, competitive curriculum. Dina was awarded for Excellence in Teaching (2014) by the President and for Professional Outreach (2015) by the Provost. She also won AUD the University of the Year award at the Dubai Lynx (2015). Dina's research interests revolve around the role of Marketing Communications in reflecting cultural issues effectively, ethically and creatively.
