Biography

Dr. Cheung was born and raised in Orange County, California and is 4th generation Asian American. She did her undergraduate work at UCLA where she received a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and was awarded Magna Cum Laude honors. She went on to pursue a Masters in Public Health in Health Education and Health Policy at UCLA, where she was also awarded the distinction of Highest Honors. She completed her medical school training at UC San Diego School of Medicine in 2004, and completed her residency training at White Memorial Medical Center/Loma Linda University in Los Angeles where she was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. Dr. Cheung returned to her UCLA roots and was accepted into the Endocrinology Fellowship program at UCLA, where she completed an additional two years of subspecialty training.
