Biography

Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of the Department of Parasitology and the Postgraduate Program in Parasitology of the Institute of Biological Sciences (ICB) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Master's and Ph.D. in Sciences (Epidemiology in Public Health) by the National School of Public Health Sergio Arouca of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Rio de Janeiro) and in the latter held an exchange at the Harvard School of Public Health (Boston) and the World Health Organization ( Geneva). Graduation in Veterinary Medicine from the State University of Maranhão. Has experience in Veterinary Medicine and Public Health, working mainly on the following topics: Epidemiology of communicable diseases; General Epidemiology, Health Information and Technology Systems, Visceral Leishmaniasis, Systematic Review, Spatial Analysis in Health, Health Surveillance; Health Evaluation; Control of Zoonoses; Neglected Diseases, Distance Education, Health Education, Education and Popularization of Science and Technology.
