Biography

He IS originally qualified as a chemist but later retrained in the area of forensic science. He had been lecturing at all levels since 2002. His main roles within the University are teaching and award management. However in 2008 he secured the (part-time) role of project manager for the EDULINK project. This 3 year project, funded through the EDULINK ACP-EU Academic Co-operation in Higher Education programme with a budget of 566,815 Euros, is the result of a partnership between Staffordshire University, the University of Technology, Jamaica and the University of Mauritius project. It is aimed at developing education, skills and capacity in forensic awareness and forensic in the Southern African Development Community and Caribbean.

Research Intrest

Crime scene investigation; Analysis/identification of shoe/tyre rubber by various chemical methods; Fingerprint development/enhancement and digitisation; Blood spatter simulations; Paint analysis/identification (decorative and automotive)
