Biography

Danny Neville was named head coach of the Jimmie men's basketball team on August 6, 2015. Neville spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Jimmies. In that span, the Jimmies won two conference championships as well as one conference tournament championship. Before Jamestown, he spent two years as the head assistant at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Neville played at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. While at Grand View, Neville helped Grand View go 50-17 in his last two years. The Vikings were ranked in the top 25 both years and were ranked as high as #7 in the country. During Neville's junior year, Grand View gained an automatic bid to the national tournament and advanced to the sweet 16, before losing to eventual national champion Oklahoma Wesleyan. The next year the Vikings won their conference tournament, but Danny Neville's senior year ended quick with a first round national tournament loss to Sioux Falls. Neville was a four year letter winner at Grand View. A native of Bondurant, Iowa, he holds numerous high school records at Bondurant-Farrar High School. As a high school player his overall record was 85-15, with one state tournament berth. Neville was lucky enough to share his high school moments with his coach and father, Steve. Neville graduated in 2010 with a BA in Sports Management from Grand View University and in 2015 with a MA in Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine. Neville and his wife, Erin, have two children– daughter Emma and son Landon. Erin is a Pre- k teacher at St. John's Academy in Jamestown.
