Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the Federal University of Viçosa (1993) and a PhD in Biochemistry and Immunology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2002). During his postdoctoral fellowship at TIGR he participated actively in the genome projects of the parasites Trypanosoma cruzi and T. brucei and of the comparative analyzes of Tri-Tryps. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Parasitology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais where she coordinates the Parasite Genomics laboratory. Has experience in the area of ​​Molecular and Genomic Biology, using as a model the Trypanosoma cruzi.
