Biography

Professor Daniel Phaneuf pursued his PhD in Economics from Iowa State University, Ames, IA in 1997 and his BS in Economics from Saint John's University, Collegeville, MN in 1990.At present he is working as an Professor in department of Agriculture and applied economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison.Professor Daniel Phaneuf is a environmental and resource economist, and his research is focused on the U.S. He is especially interested in understanding the value of the environment, as measured through decisions that interaction with the environment, such as location and spending choices. He have current projects valuing residential amenities and the effect of air pollution of on medical spending. He is also on the Science Advisory Board for the U.S. EPA and Clean Wisconsin.
