Biography

Cindy provides didactic and clinical instruction for the graduate nurse anesthesia program. Before becoming a CRNA, Cindy spent over 20 years working as a staff nurse and clinical educator in the perianesthesia setting which included the ambulatory surgery unit, pre and post anesthesia care areas, and sedation settings for invasive procedures. She has been actively involved in policy development, continuous quality improvement programs, and TJC/Department of Health Inspection readiness programs. After joining the anesthesia faculty team, Cindy has been an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and became certified in healthcare simulation. She directs simulation technology activities for students utilizing a computerized, interactive simulation manikin thus enhancing didactic knowledge, critical thinking, and skill attainment through case scenario presentations prior to implementation in the clinical setting. Additionally, Cindy works within the Einstein Health Network to provide interdisciplinary simulation training.
