He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Immunology) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1992-1995), a PhD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine (1998-1999), PhD in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology) Federal University of Minas Gerais (1996-1999) and Post-doctorate at Harvard University (2010-2011). She is currently Associate Professor III of the Department of Morphology of the Biological Sciences Institute of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She also held the post of Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Cell Biology at UFMG. He has experience in the area of ​​Morphology, with emphasis in Cytology and Cell Biology, working mainly in the following subjects: Neural communication, Neuromuscular Junction, venous and inhalational anesthetics.
