Cleonice Alves de Melo Bento holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacology, a Master's degree in Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995), a PhD in Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000) and Post-Doutarado by the Pierre et Marie Currie School of Medicine (Paris / France). In 2013 she was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Lisbon and in 2014 as a Visiting Professor / Researcher at the University of California, CAPES / Fulbright. Has a Scientist Scholarship from Our State (FAPERJ). Productivity grant holder level 1D of CNPq. She is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio Janeiro, where she is also a member of the Scientific Committee and a director of the Graduate Programs in Neurology and in Genetics and Molecular Biology / UNIRIO. Currently coordinates the Doctoral course in Neurology / UNIRIO. It collaborates with the University of California and the Medical School of Lyon / France. Reviewer of International Immunopharmacology, Clinical Immunology, Journal of Immunology, Immunology and The Brazilian Journal of Microbiology; Researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in Immunology and neuroimmunology, with emphasis on Cellular Immune Response, working mainly on the following topics: HIV-1, Th1 / Th17, allergy, immunosenescence, antiretroviral therapy
