The Christos Bagkavos is demographer, Associate Professor of Social Policy, Panteion University, with studies in Aristotle, the Sorbonne and the Paris Political Studies Institute. He worked as an expert on demographic issues at the European Commission from 1995 to 1998. In 2000-2004 he was a National Expert of the European Observatory on Social Situation, Demography and the Family. His publications and research interests concern the determinants of demographic changes, as well as their impact on the labor market, education and social security.
