Dr Chris Tyler completed his PhD titled The effects of a cooling collar on running performance and capacity in a hot environment in 2009 at Nottingham Trent University before joining the University of Roehampton in September 2009. Dr Tyler has served as the Programme Convenor for the Undergraduate Sport and exercise Sciences and Sport Psychology programmes and is currently responsible for lecturing physiology and research methods modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Dr Tyler's main research interest is exercise performed in extremely hot and cold environments. More specifically his main interest focuses on the role that cooling interventions may play in improving exercise performance in such conditions. He has presented this work at conferences in America and Europe.
