Christiana Charalambous is Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Nicosia Medical School. Dr Charalambous holds a BSc Honours in Biochemistry (University of Surrey, UK) and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology (University of Southern California, USA). Her research focuses on the investigation of the molecular mechanisms of action of the combination of soy phytoestrogens and their metabolites, such as equol, with the anti-estrogen tamoxifen in various cancer cell types.
