Biography

Cheng-Li Liu is currently a Professor at the Department of Industrial Management, Vanung University, Taiwan, and is also an executive director of the Ambient Intelligence Associate of Taiwan (AIAT). In AIAT, his main job is to promote human engineering, technology research/development and service matters and to hold an international conference to providing an international forum for the dissemination and exchange of scientific information on theoretical, generic and applied areas of ambient intelligence and ergonomics. His areas of specialty include cognition processing, human-machine system and human-computer interaction, ergonomics, work measurement and analysis. He also has consulting experience in manufacturing, production and operations management. In 2002-2005, he was the chair of the Department of Industrial Management, Vanung University, and in 2013-2016, was the dean of the office of research and development, Vanung University. Prof. Liu was hired out of a tenure-track position in the dean, to assist the Government to promote industrial upgrading and reconstruction program for ergonomics and production. His researches have been published in a number of international journal publications and has made presentations at a number of prestigious Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics conferences.
