Research Intrest

Our lab, the Integrative Bio-inspired Molecular Engineering (IBME) laboratory, aims to apply biologically inspired engineering principles to create novel materials, bionanotechnology, molecular (cellular) machines to address important yet unmet needs in our society. We are particularly interested in gearing our research towards practical applications in health care, environment as well as many other important technical fields. To these ends, we leverage and integrate various emerging techniques and/or advanced tools from synthetic biology, materials science, protein engineering, and modern micro/nanofabrication into our research.
