Chadi El Tabbah graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts, at the Lebanese University in Beirut, with a Master Degree in Interior Architecture and Decorative Arts. He joined AUD's Interior Design Department in Spring 2013.   He worked on prestigious private residential projects for the royal family in Abu Dhabi and was awarded the refurbishment of the Dubai World Trade Club. Prof. El Tabbah worked on several proposals for DWTC as refurbishments for the apartments, the tower lobby, the SPA and the business center.   He won the design tender for Cairo Festival City, five show villas, design and build that combine European charm with the Mediterranean historical fusion. He explored the major Interior design sectors, from Residential to Commercial and Hospitality as well as jewelry design. His thirteen years of experience in Dubai along with his immersion in Furniture and Textiles make him a valuable team player in the Interior Design Department.   Prof. El Tabbah is a member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/ Designers (IFI), Interior Design Educator Council (IDEC), and The American Institute of Architects (AIA).   El Tabbah’s teaching philosophy starts in the classroom with the notion that education is imperative to maintain a respect for human life, safety and welfare. He believes embracing the psychology, art and science of interior design is the core of a professional education. He believes that each person in his classroom is a unique individual. His desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential and to instill a love for learning as he shares his own passion for learning with them. He considers that students should think like designers - passionate, analytical, empathetic and intuitive. He teaches them to be sensitive to how people experience space and to recognize the emotional connections that people have to their surroundings. Apart from design and education, Chadi El Tabbah is interested in Principles of Nature, History of the Ancient Civilizations, Sanskrit and Mantras.
