Before joining the faculty of UT Southwestern, he/she developed applications of gamma-ray spectroscopy for well logging at the Atlantic Richfield Exploration and Production Research Laboratory in Plano, Texas, and investigated the use of nuclear isomeric states as laser gain mechanisms at UT Dallas. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1989 as an Assistant Professor in the Radiology Department. he research interests include the medical physics aspects of computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopy, positron emission tomography (PET), radiation dosimetry, and radiation protection. In providing clinical medical physics services to UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics, Parkland Health and Hospital System, and Children’s Health, he addresses many aspects of regulatory compliance, radiation dose management, and equipment performance.
