Biography

Brian Eckenrode, PT, DPT, OCS is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University. He also is the coordinator of the Arcadia University Orthopaedic Clinical Residency and director of the Arcadia University Running Injury Clinic. Dr. Eckenrode graduated from Arcadia University with a BA in Psychobiology in 1997 and his MSPT in 1999, then went on to earn his tDPT from Temple University in 2009. His clinical focus is on the evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic and sports medicine injuries. Dr. Eckenrode became a board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist in 2005, and was recertified in 2014. Prior to joining the faculty, he advanced through the ranks from Senior Level, I, II, Advanced Clinician and most recently served as the Sports Team Leader at Penn Sports Medicine Center, Good Shepherd Penn Partners. He also worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, helping to establish a sports medicine and performance center. Brian has published peer-reviewed research articles, written book chapters, and presented at annual physical therapy or orthopaedic professional meetings.
