Professor Brian Burton, earned his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After working as a lab researcher at the University of California, Davis, and an assistant winemaker in Virginia, has earned his Master of Science in Pharmacology from Rush University Medical School, Chicago. Prior to becoming a faculty member at Tiffin University, he has been passionately involved in teaching and collaborating with the science community. He has written and researched extensively on the interaction of the immune system with the nervous system. He has written: Brain Inflammation Associated with Forced Abstinence from Methamphetamine Self-Administration (2014).
