Research Intrest

In Quantum Field Theory. We work on various generalization of BRST transformations and their implications in the study of different gauge field theoretic models. The generalized BRST [with finite field dependent parameter] connects the generating functional corresponding to two different effective gauge theories. Hence, such transformations are very useful to study the systems relating two effective theories and already have found a number of applications in quantum field theory. These transformations can also be used to solve many of the long outstanding problems in quantum field theory. Apart from these we also work in superspace formulation of gauge theories and non-commutative field theories. In Quantum Mechanics Non-Hermitian extension of usual quantum theories has become a very interesting topic in frontier research over the last decade. Non-Hermitian systems with certain unbroken symmetries can give rise to fully consistent [ real spectrum, unitary time evolution with probabilistic interpretation ] quantum theory in an appropriate Hilbert Space. Such systems have been investigated extensively recently and found many applications in quantum mechanics, quantum field theories and even in classical mechanics. We are investigating various aspects of such theories. In Astro-particle Physics. We are interested in different properties of Pulsars and strange stars. In particular we are studying the origin of pulsar kick velocity and aspect of pulsar glitch.
