Pre Bouffard develops modes of production of knowledge and acquisition of translational skills, based on learning, co-training and collaborative work. She is interested in the social, medical, ethical and legal aspects of human genetics. It works concurrently on joint problems simultaneously exploring different levels of reality of the same phenomenon (development of a genetic test, transfer to a clinic, health policy, societal impacts on genetics). For example, team researchers develop prenatal noninvasive diagnosis (NPD) from fetal cells circulating in maternal blood.
