Biography

Professor Bice Martincigh is a physical chemist in the School of Chemistry and Physics. Her research expertise lies in the areas of photochemistry, solution thermodynamics and environmental chemistry. She is a well-versed academic and has held Visiting Professorships at West Virginia University, the University of Wales in Cardiff and Portland State University. In 2011 she was awarded the University’s Distinguished Teacher Award. She is currently the Vice-President of the South African Chemical Institute.
