Biography

Beverly Lyons, Ph.D., L.M.S.W., R.D., C.D.N., has a multidisciplinary background involving gerontology, policy and program planning, social work administration, medical nutrition and community health nutrition. Dr. Lyons brings to the M.P.A. program clinical and administrative experiences from a variety of health, aging, long-term care and business settings. She has extensive teaching experience in a number of university graduate, undergraduate and continuing education programs.Dr. Lyons is a fellow of the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, which is sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. She has participated in scores of scholarly research paper and poster presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Lyons serves as research consultant, is a member of peer-review editorial boards and has been involved in community health participation projects.
