Benjamin Mapani is currently working as Associate Professor in the department of Geology at University of Namibia. Ben has worked on the mobile belts of southern Africa, Irumide, Zambezi, Magondi, Damara, Kaoko and Sinclair, where geochronological studies are underway. He has also strong interests in Environmental geochemistry and climate change, using groundwater and tree ring stable isotopic signatures as proxies to climatic variations. He has published on the environmental effects of mine dumps and slags.
